What is an Owners Association?

March 8, 2023

When you live in an area as picturesque as Vermilion Hill, it is important to ensure that the neighbourhood’s home value, pride of ownership, and a strong sense of community remain for years to come.

Vermilion Hill’s Owner Association has been designed to do just this by servicing the community through enhanced landscape maintenance, community programming and events, community communications, and management of community amenities. These features all go above and beyond what the City of Calgary will provide.

Your sales team is there to assist you with any questions or information about your OA throughout the sales process. The OA will be registered on the title when you purchase your new home. Your legal representative will bring this to your attention. Each title property within the community has an Encumbrance registered on its title which ensures that all lots in the community, whether single-family or multi-family, pay the annual Association membership fee. It also provides a voice for every homeowner within the community.

Over time, communities with Owners Associations have higher home values. Owners Association communities exercise certain standards for maintenance, increase overall curb appeal, and have better-maintained public spaces that can be enjoyed by all.
